Schools are becoming more pro-active in supporting their pupils & families in a more effective way.

We offer a Counselling & Family Support Service to work alongside your teaching staff and other support staff to support your pupils and families offering the following services:

   1-1 Counselling/Support (Pupils)

  • 1-1 Counselling / Support
  • Low Self Estee
  • Poor Communication Skills
  • Self Harming/Suicidal Thoughts
  • Bullying
  • Family Issues/Parenting Issues/Step-Family Issues
  • Drugs, Alcohol, Smoking
  • Poor Behaviour, Poor Attendance, Poor Attainment Levels
  • Bereavement & Loss
  • Abusive & disruptive behaviour, those at risk of exclusio

 

   1-1 Counselling/Support (For Parents)   

  • Low Self Esteem
  • Poor Parenting, support with being able to cope with their children
  • Poor Communication Skills
  • Family Issues/Step-Family Issues/Fostering
  • Drugs, Alcohol Issues within the family/children

 

   1-1 Counselling/Support for Teachers & Support
   Staff    

  • Difficulties with pupils or a particular issues
  • Personal Counselling, especially if it is effecting their work

   
     Family Mediation

  • Helping parents and their children to work more effectively together
  • Improve relationships, learn new skills and coping strategies


   Group Work (Pupils) 
   Work with small groups on the following issues:

  • Anti-Bullying
  • Anger Management
  • Listening/Communication Skills
  • Improving Behaviour
  • Growing Up (Improve Health, Well-Being, Appearangce etc)
  • Tees Issues (Drugs, Alcohol, Sexual Health, Puberty etc)

 

   Group Work (Parents)

  • Parenting Support on issues relating to children/teens
  • Befriending, Advice & General Support 

    School/Parent Mediation

  • To help the school work more effectively with parents
  • Offering guidance & support to Teachers & Parents on Issues relating to their Children that are effecting them at home and at school
  • Child Protection

   Core Group Meetings / Case Conferences

  • To act as support worker/advocate for that pupil on behalf of the School, Child & Family
